Summary Higher classification of the extant classes of Mollusca’ in the Appendix of the Biology and Evolution of the Mollusca, volume 2 (Ponder et al., 2020) is reviewed. The Latin names of families, superfamilies and the higher taxonomic units are listed with the Japanese names, some of which are newly given for taxa including the species of Japan and the neighbouring regions herein. Taxa that were proposed in 2021 are also included. |
